things i want in all baseball games

the catcher to set up --whether inside or out--
better crowds
able to create a stadium
umpires who call the strike zone differently
pitchers who get more calls called their way based on reputation(also batters)
mound visits
weather conditions(starts to rain during game--possibly called)
doubleheaders
3 man booths
downloadable commentary from the net
wheres the rosin bag??
make u be able to scuff the ball(and risk getting caught)
able to argue with umps
balks
spitting,chewing tobacco,gum etc
bases get dirty as game goes on (also baselines)
uniforms get dirty and torn
anything else????

Sounds like you are expecting the perfect game you may have to wait for WSB2K10 to get all of the things you are asking for in that list but hey I would lve to see a game that had all of those things in it

Back in the Genesis days, one of the EA triple play games (I think 96) had the pitcher spit before every second or third pitch. At first it was cool and I said "Wow, if it's in the game, it's in the game". But by the third inning of my first game it got pretty annoying. Just another delay to an already slow paced game.

I like some of your other comments though, especially about the crowds. I think crowds in most sports games have a ways to go. They cheer the same for a home team win in a playoff overtime game the same as they do a score in an early season blowout. Fan intesity should vary based upon the venue, the timing of the game/season and how the team is performing in the game/season. Most sports games still pretty much follow the same formula: home team scores = Cheer. Visitor scores = Boo. Rest of the time = dull humm.

These are all in this years crop of videogames. Everyone one of these is in High Heat except for the Gum which is in MVP and WSB, and the uniforms getting dirty which is in MVP.
