Out of the Park 5 is the best...period. Got a score of 95 out of 100 from this site. Here's a link:

OOTP is an outstanding game, no doubt, especially if you are looking for a simulator of multiple seasons, including stuff like free agency, drafts, hiring coaches, finances, etc. It's incredibly deep!

However, IMO, the best on-the-field simulator of baseball is Diamond Mind. It's great for season replays, but it doesn't do any of the career stuff like OOTP. Both are great games; it just depends on what you're looking for...

K Mosley is right. Diamond-mind is simply the most realistic simulator out there. They allow you to draft new teams which is fun, but no franchise mode is a bummer.
