    Pitching- anyone notice this?

I'm not sure about this, but I think I found a way to add something to the pitches. I will sometimes call for a curve, sinker, etc in the lower part of the strikezone and right before the pitch gets to the plate I push down on the left thumbstick and it drops out of the strikezone! It is almost like you can create movement on the pitch by using the thumbstick. Has anyone else noticed this? It seems to work best with better pitchers, but to some extent you can do it with anyone. Please let me know what you think.

Yes i have experienced and figured out the same thing you have with the analog stick controlling pitch movement it is indeed true how you can control it and make it drop out of the zone it is sensitive and hard to master.

Is this really true? Im going to try it out. If this is true I will be really suprised. Seems kind of unrealistic.

I think it all depends on the pitcher's control. I too have noticed this and have tried controlling location after the ball is pitched and sometimes I have more success than others. Same goes with who's pitching. I seem to control more with good pitchers.

One thing I noticed which was really nice is sometimes pitchers, even if they are not tired, do not throw the same each game. This goes for speed and location. In some games with Musina I can reach 94mph with a fastball and in others I can never get to 90mph. Also with his control. In some games I can spot my pitches well and in others I can't. Very realistic.

There's something in the game called "variable pitching". Sometimes the ball doesn't go right where you want it to, so it may appear that you are putting more of a curve on it, when in reality, you're not.

Try turning variable pitching off and see if it still works. You can see where the ball was meant to go in the "last pitch" review (K-zone).
