I simulated the season just to see the states a few days ago and found out Javy Lopez retires after the 2003 season of course it could be random. My question is who will you use as your catcher after the 2003 season? For those wondering the Braves finished last in the simulation.

Well, I started my season right after the game was released, but once the real MLB season started going I tried to get my roster as realistic as I could. So, I demoted Johnny Estrada to the high minors.
Before that, he was not really that bad of a hitter. He hit much better from the left side for me than he did for the right.
I'm about 10 games short of the All Star break at this point and Javy is hitting about .220 with 14 HR and 38 RBI for me. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do about catcher next year. So far the only guy who was due to be a free agent that I've locked up is Furcal. I think i signed him for 3 more years.
I will probably be saying "bye bye" to a lot of the free agents. I know Castilla, Blanco, Roberto Hernandez and probably Darren Holmes will not be resigned. I may re-up with Fick, he's having a pretty nice season for me, .240 8 HR, 49 RBI.
My batting averages are pretty low because I spent about the first 25 games of my franchise learning how to hit in this game, and It'll take me all season to get my team BA up to about .250. However my guys are still producing runs so that's what matters to me. -
