I didn't realize he threw anything besides a fastball and a cutter. A lot of relievers in real life only have 2 pitches.

        Re: did anyoine recreat rivera????

        from actual ESPN scouting report:
        Pitching
Rivera's signature pitch is a cut fastball in the upper 90s. It runs away from righthanded hitters, who find it hard to pull, and runs in on the fists of lefthanded hitters, who have trouble getting around on it. He'll also mix in a straight four-seamer. Being so hard to hit allows him to go right at hitters, minimizing walks. His cutter induces a lot of weakly hit balls, but fewer outright swings and misses than other closers' strikeout pitches. Rivera thus gets more groundballs but fewer strikeouts than most closers. Before his shoulder woes, he often was asked to go more than one inning, and had no problem doing so.

Yup. Most short relievers only use 2 pitches, maybe 3. Rivera is cutter and 4 seamer only. Most closers throw mainly gas and mix one other pitch in every now and then. Eric Gagne is an exception to this, but since he was a starter he's got more "quality" pitches that he throws.

            have a good one,

Rivera used to throw a slider, so I would put that in the game if you want. In this stage of his career he usually justs sticks with his cutter and 4 seam though.
