28 innings! What makes it even worse was the game probably shouldn't have even gone more than 9. Going into the bottom of the 9th inning, I was losing 0-4. I brought Karim Garcia to hit for Milton Bradley and Garcia hit a solo shot. Then Vizquel gets a double and Lawton gets out. Burks comes up and hits a 2 run HR. Then Shane Spencer comes up as the next batter and hits a solo shot to tie the game. I then had a baserunning error, which resulted in a runner @ 2B with 2 outs instead of runners @ 3B and 2B with 1 out. A pop fly ended the inning. Nothing happened until the bottom of the 12th when Garcia came up again and hit a long drive that looked like it was going out, but Magglio Ordonez climbed the wall and, while he didn't catch the ball, he got his glove on it and knocked it back in play. Garcia got to 3rd with one out. Vizquel hit a pop fly to CF, I tagged up but it wasn't deep enough for Garcia to score (shoulda pinch ran with Coco Crisp). Various time throughout the next 16 innings, I had 2 runners on with 1 out, but couldn't get anything. Then in the top of the 28th, Paul Konerko (in his 12th at-bat) hit a solo homer that barely cleared the LF wall. Bottom of the 28th, Vizquel got on, but that was it. Game over. I ended up using Ricardo Rodriguez, Mulholland, Carl Sadler, Dave Elder, Mark Wohlers, Baez, Brian Anderson, Jason Bere, and Sabathia during the game. There was a combined 211 at-bats. I didn't really keep track of the time, but the game at least took me 2 hours and 30 minutes. On a positive note, Ellis Burks was 8 for 11 and raised his season average to .500.
i wish i could get into a game like that, i had one go 17 then i got a one run lead in the top half and in the bottom half the game froze up 
those games are fun as hell to manage.
