    Royals, for real?

I mostly follow the national league, i know sweeney is a solid player and so is ibanez, but are the royals going to contend? i know they've beat up on the tigers alot, but they also handled the sox who are tough.

remember last season when Anaheim got off to like a 6-18 start, they won the world series, i think this is the opposite.. They have a few good ballplayers, Sweeney and Ibanez, but I also think they are in the weakest divsion out of the 6. The White Sox will probrably win that division, but not by much over Minnesota, and if Hunter ever starts hitting for MIN, then look out. I dont see the Royals having pitching good enough to outlast either CWS or MIN, and if they do correct me, they will never get by OAK's, BOS's, or NYY's pitching and offense

They aren't for real...Last year the Indians got off to an 11-1 start, and look what happen to them..

They are starting to cool down right now..Sox took the last series and it took 11 yesterday to beat the Tigers
        Michigan Wolverines
        Chicago White Sox

I agree with the rest of the above posters. But on the positive side, this start pretty much guarantee's at least a 75 win season in my opinion.

What are they now, like 13-2 or something..... what if they go off on a 2-13 run... chances of that happening are better than them winning more than 65 or 70 games this season....no pitching and good offense give you what they have had so far..... clutch hits when the pitchers failed them... look at all the game winning hits they've had.... no different then TB... none of there starters even have a win, but they have 5 or 6 wins, all in their last AB, or late inning clutch hits... that cant go on forever

                    Re: Royals, for real?

Sox have been sending a message these last few games though

beating Cleveland 8-1 in the fourth right now, while the Royals are losing to the Tigers 2-0

                    edit...doh..Royals winning 5-2 now
                    Michigan Wolverines
                    Chicago White Sox

Ya, i think that might be the Sox's division this year, only if guys like Thomas, and Ordonez have big years. Thomas was once a shoe-in for the hall, now, he may end up having to pay admission just to visit.
