First of all, don't get on with teams that need to constantly let their star players go because either they can't afford them or just choose not to spend money on their team.

You can start from scratch and go with my own, the Mariners. They have money, so no need to worry about losing players. They just had some ridiculously bad luck and bad management for last few years. Thank goodness Zdruriencik came on board this year. A lot of the players on the team are about to burst into stardom. With awesome 3 starting pitching(Felix, Bedard, and Morrow), with some help with power hitting(Griffey and Beltre could come through) this team can move up rapidly from last year's disasterous bottom of the pile of dung.

Don't worry, they have one of the worse records over the past decade... you can't make things any worse.

It'll be fun watching Weiters when he finally comes up around May... then next year and moving forward, there should be some good young arms trying to help them actually be competitive again. I think Adam Jones is going to pass Markakis as the best OFer on the team this year too.

Yeah if I were you I would have picked Baltimore too...they just make the most sense for a Expos fan.
To the guy above if Adam Jones passes Markakis as the best OFer on the Orioles...youre gonna have one hell of a team(I know hes gonna be a beast defensively,and has the potential to steal 30 bases but his hitting needs to drastically improve this season)...I hope it happens(I'm a Mets fan but there are a few teams I dont hate)Baltimore being one of those teams.

Strangely I really miss the Expos especially in video games...their stadium was one of my favourites to play in...and I just think Canada should have 2 MLB teams.
Sadly though it seems Omar Minaya misses the Expos too...and enjoys filling the Mets roster with over the hill former Expos.

Actually, if you look at Jones' stats from last season, his hitting was coming along nicely before he got hurt. I doubt he'll ever top Nick in average but he can hit 20 hrs and still 30 bases while hitting .280 as soon as this year. We'll see what happens.

Good luck with your Mets... one of the teams I don't hate. Huge fan of Reyes.

I really miss them too.
Alot of former Expos fan became Mets fan since 2004.

We played our first ever game in Shea ....and our last...

Ray will be the closer. They already said it'd be split at the beginning of the year and Ray isn't completely healthy. That tells me that as soon as he's ready for it, he'll have his spot back. Everything I hear is that he's on track but you never know. I just hope he gets healthy.
