disappearing players....
Has anyone else noticed that sometimes when you trade with the computer, mostly when you trade 1 guy for 2 of their guys....on of the guys that you are supposed to get in the trade will completely dissapear from the game, my example is this....i traded oliver perez to the indians for jake westbrook and johnny mac, and mac disappeared for no apparent reason...i mean completely out of the game, that is definitely the most frustrating aspect of the game that i have noticed as of yet...anyone else have this happen?Tags: None -
Re: disappearing players....
Simple cure for this problem.....before you make the deal, send a guy down from your active roster (that has options) to the minor leagues....now there will be an open roster spot for the odd man. Then make the trade, he'll be there and now you can adjust your roster as you see fit. Works everytime, I apoligize for the inconvenience but at least its workable. -

Re: disappearing players....
BP7, I totally agree, and this glitch is not just an oversized roster problem. I had about 26 guys on my roster once, and attempted to trade three of my guys, one from the minors, for schilling. Trade was accepted and SCHILLING DISAPPEARED! There was more than enough room for him on my roster. I was so frustrated that I started the expansion team over. Oh well...like I was saying, I now agree with you on the all-star thing. I kept trading 2 c+ players for b+ players and such and stacking my team, when finally I got tired of having an unrealistically good team. I recently started a new expansion team with guys that aren't exactly ranked AWESOME in the game, but that I feel are due for some breakout years. I made it as realistic as possible:
Catcher: Miguel Olivo, Ben Davis
1B: Hee Seop Choi, John Valentin, Mark McLemore
2B: Marcus Giles, John Valentin, Mark McLemore
3B: Ty Wigginton, John Valentin, Benji Gil
SS: Cesar Izturis, John Valentin
LF: Chipper Jones, Mark McLemore
CF: Tsuyoshi Shinjo, Mark McLemore
RF: Jose Cruz, Mark McLemore
SP: Curt Schilling
SP: Javier Vasquez
SP: John Burkett
SP: Ted Lilly
SP: Ricardo Rodriguez
RP: Juan Acevedo
RP Mike MacDougal
RP: Jason Grimsley
RP: Mark Guthrie
RP: Mike Fyhrie
RP: Julio Mateo
I guess you could say I sacrificed hitting for pitching, but in any case, I made it as realistic as I possibly could, and I'm gonna try to win somethin' with these guys. Good luck with your team!Comment
