Need some help with some pitching issues

Ok, I am an experienced Baseball player and gamer. I know tendencies of hitters and what pitches to throw, where to throw em, and the best way to get the batters out. My problem is in MVP, the AI hitters are swinging at EVERYTHING. At most I am getting 2 k's a game with the Marlins pitching staff and the Dodger's pitching staff. I paint the corners, I dont throw meat right down the middle, heck I even intentionally throw alot of balls, but the AI hits almost everything, regardless of location and strike count. Its kind of unrealistic when almost every out recorded is a fly out or ground out and lots of times I dont even get 2 pitches into the hitter before they hit something somewhere. Any ideas? BTW, this is the XBOX version I am playing and Pro is the difficulty.

    Thanks in advance!

I never played on pro, but on Allstar the batters will swing more than in real life. Sometimes taking a little off (not charging the meter up all the way) will fool the batter. In real life if you throw a curveball 3 times in a row, then a fastball as the 4th pitch, usually they will strike out. The only game I've ever seen this hold true in is High Heat. While MVP has a great pitching model, usually you can't throw the same pitch 3 times without the batter hitting it.

I usually dont throw a pitch more than twice in a row, and even rarely do I do that. I will try it on All-Star and see if it makes a difference. THANKS!

I have found if you throw two fastballs low and away, They usually take the first one and foul the second one off. Then come low and inside with a curve and they will swing and miss. I struckout 9 Angels in a complete game victory on All Star last night.
