I have Comcast as well here in St Paul MN. Is the MLB Network part of your digital tier or do you have the sports pkg? I have the sports pkg with the NFL and NHL Networks. Comcast says they might lose the NFL Network in May. That would make me drop the package especially if the MLB Network is not part of it.

Right now, MLB Network comes standard. I don't have any package. The NFL Network used to come in standard, now I guess it's part of a package. I was very disappointed when that happened.
      NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
      NFL - Buffalo Bills
      MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Thanks for the info. I think the NFL Network is history on Comcast.

You know what chaps my a$s?

The fact that Fios has a separate package for MLB HD than the regular MLB TV. If you order the sports package you get NHL HD etc. but only MLB standard definition. I would have to order a separate mini package to get MLB HD.

I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). I write it, and it hits your inbox every Friday morning (for freeeeeee). We also have an official OS Discord you can now join.

I don't know if FIOS is the same everywhere. Where I live it was cheaper to drop the sports package and go with the Extreme HD Package. The HD package gives you all the channels they offer in HD minus the preimium movie channels. NHLHD, MLBHD, NFLHD,and WGNHD all come with it. The only sports channel I lost by swithcing was Setanta and that was never in HD.

As for MLB Network, I am also addicted. 30 Clubs in 30 days was incredible. I have easily watched more MLB TV in the last 2 months than I have NFL network in the last 2 years.
            Good job! Good effort!

Here in Chicago we just got the MLB network in HD on April 1, so it should be out all around the country soon. Of all the major sports networks this in my opinion is the best one from a production standpoint.

I adore MLB Network and I want to make love to it. There is no other network that is as good as comparing players. In fact, I'll say easily that Prime 9 is the greatest moment/player/position comparison show in any sport of all time. It's that good. I mean, they use OPS+!

                      I really enjoy it.

MLB Network and MLB Extra Innings with the MLB Mix. I love it.

Pretty much all I have watched all day. Their coverage is outstanding. With MLB network and NFL network game day and post game coverage, no need for ESPN anymore.

I was thinking of that today. ESPN's coverage has become so topical, almost sensational.

Thats because ESPN is not about the sports anymore it's about the morons discussing the sports.

If it's not A-Roid, Manny, or LeBron they don't want to talk about it.

I totally agree with this. I couldn't stand wading through all the talking head shows and their constant pimping of the NFL just to get to Baseball Tonight last year.

The MLB Network gives me my fix as soon as I turn it on. I really like their crew there. I enjoy listening to Reynolds again and I think Al Leiter found his calling. It's great to hear baseball people talk about baseball and not who can yell louder on the soap box.

Now if they can steal Gammons away.
