Does anyone have any idea what kind of effects the coaches' sliders have in franchise mode? Anyone have what they think is the best?

Well, I'm trying to do something that will stop me from getting so many hits, start me to getting more runs (I usually strand runners with 2 runners on or something), and in pitching I give up a realistic amount of hits, but I need to find something so that they don't catch up so well in late innings. Maybe it's my bullpen, I AM the Giants.
Anyways, with the manager, I put stealing OFF so it's harder to steal, I bring it up a lot on time off and coaches, and then I forget the last one but I leave it on 20.
With the scout, I put it on 15 for Foreign, 35 on own team, 25 on leauge, and 25 on rookies. -

thats funny i do the exact opposite for the scouts. what i am really curious about is do they even have an effect on gameplay (hitting, pitching)? it seems to me they dont.Comment

OK i got it. I turned my defense waaaay down to turn up my coach and steal rating and my defense in the next game i played was nowhere close what it had been (i had been making spectacular plays regularly). But i still dont know if the batting or pitching coaches' levels actually effect gameplay (i tool with those but it seems to have no effect) or if the "Coaches" slider in the manager menu actually does anything. SOMEONE HELP!!!Comment

OK i got it. What i can tell you is that when i lowered my steal slider to 0 i do now at times get thrown out so i would say the sliders do affect gameplayComment
