    skill levels

i'm not making this post to diss anyone's ability, or choices they make on how to play their video game. that's not my place. but, i would like to suggest that when you make a post about some offensive feat you also post which level you were playing at. i'm sure most of us did the 20something run route game before we went on to the big leagues (all star level)
so post your level so we can all adequately respect your accomplishments as we read in awe of your buttong pushing performance.
myself, i have only recently started all star level and it's a whole new ballgame, but also alot funner in my opinion.

    Re: skill levels

Right now I play all my games in Veteran. I would be at All-Star, but I swear to got the CPU pitching has figured out how to best pitch to me, because not but like 3-4 days ago I was hitting 20+ run ballgames in veteran, expecting to go up to the big show any day, and then suddenly I started to suck again, I swear to god the CPU pitchers started getting better! ><!!!

Oh well, for now Veteran is still the most realistic for me, but I hope that within a month I can make it to All-Star level.

EDIT: Oh yeah, also, I've discovered that I play worse when my remote controller is rather warm from gameplay, and sweaty. When I switch off to a cooler controller, I play much better. I'm going to go ahead and get that new "air conditioned" remote controller that is supposed to be "anti-sweat" or something, because if switching off to a cooler and less-sweaty remote can help my progress, keeping one remote cool and sweatless can't hurt.

ya, it'll come quick. the tough pitchers for me to hit are the guys that throw heat AND have unpredictable location(johnson is real tough that way). i've also noticed that if the cpu give up a hit to a particular hitter, next time throught the order the pitcher will change location drastically.

everything I have done is on all-star level...but the hitting is down to rookie because I am still trying to get the hang of it after being a GM for a while...and I am still struggling a little...I still love the game but sometimes I just struggle with the whole cursor format. the only good thing about MVP is their pitcher/hitter thing with the bar. Other than that....All-Star blows them out of the water in terms of graphics, realism, and overall fun factor...just wish All-Star would use a similar interface instead of the tired old cursor.

I play on All-Star. My games have gotten more competitive since I turned off the exaggerated pitch. I've lost 4 of my last 7. I lost the series to the BoSox as they beat me 2 of 3. I'm not in a series with the Yankees. They won the first game on a rally in the 9th as Urbina has another blown save for me. I was up 5-2 going into the 9th. I blowed them out the 2nd game of the series 8-0. I torched Mussina, well not really I got 3 runs off errors but I did get him for 5. I look forward to finishing the series tonite.

I made the jump to all-star a while ago but used exaggerated pitching but since turning it off, it's a whole new ballgame. I've seen my 6.5 game lead over Seattle drop to 4.5 games.

What's the difference in skill levels besides the size of the batting cursor? I havent' noticed any change but that.
