    1. Do you get walked often still? I get anywhere from 0-5 walks a game. I just faced Pedro, and couldn't walk to save my life (looked at some good pitches though ), then I faced Wakefield and walked 4 times.
    2. How is the cpu with first pitch swings? How is your pitch count? CPU swing at the first pitch if I groove it or if there is an impatient hitter at the plate. My pitch counts for a nine inning game NEVER go below 100 pitches. If I throw less than 7 pitches an inning, I am doing something wrong, and the CPU will take advantage of it unless I fix it. I thought I was slick with Rodrigo Lopez. I started throwing more strikes and not worrying about balls because I was cruising through the 4th. Then...:::BAM::: Nomar, Manny, and Millar go back-to-back-to-back on me. Hence, you still have to pitch smart.
    3. How many Ks do you get per game? I have gotten 1 (with Daal) as my lowest, Jason Johnson had 9 in a shutout. I average about 4-6 a game pitching, and about 7-11 hitting (I am still working on that damn Very Small cursor).

    Hope that helps.

thanks for the response. it seems that you have gotten the sliders you wanted. I'll probably try them out now as well since you seems to be getting great results. Just one more question I forgot to ask, but do you happen to know the average pitch count for the CPU per game? And how many times you you strike out per game?

oh i think you answered the second one before...you get 7-11 Ks per game. Nevermind that one, but what about the CPU pitch count?

I think the USER and CPU should be throwing close to 10-15 pitches per inning. 10 if they're doing well and 15 if they're struggling. Honestly anything under 10 pitches per inning is bad. That means if you throw even 9 pitches an inning then you could possibly end up with 81 pitches the entire game. That's way under 100. Every game should have over 100 pitches easily.

When I pitch under 10 an inning, I am going to get blasted at some point or another. I agree with you, the only time you should get under 10 an inning is with impatient hitters getting out quickly. But it should in no way be a commonplace.

btw, pitching under 10 pitches per inning should make you pay for it. That's why I want the CPU hitting to be pretty high, personally i think 37 is correct so far, but the CPU BE(B) and (S) will need to be lowered to 85 and ???, respectively. I like where you have it Millenium, keep us updated.

Now, it's all about the pitch counts, realistic Ks and BBs for both USeR and CPU

Re: Anyone here getting realistic pitch counts...can you tell us

I think realistic K's for the user depend more on the player than the sliders.

I will have to keep an eye on pitch count for the CPU. I know I have gotten to Tampa Bay's bullpen in every game (not saying much) by the 6th inning. Boston was a different story. Martinez threw 8 innings on me, 110 pitches, I believe 37 balls, no walks. Lowe went 7 on me, 2 walks, I think around 90 pitches, 38 balls. Wakefield went about 5 on me, 5 walks, 97 pitches, 50 balls (yeah, I was having fun with him ). I can't remember my hit totals off hand, but I was dying against Pedro (maybe around 6 hits). Lowe I know I had 9 hits before he went out, and I had 11 hits when Wakefield was pulled.

This is with the sliders I posted earlier, just as an update:

                    CPU Pitching - 97
CPU BA - 37 (this is set for good for me)
                    BE(b) - 85
                    BE(s) - 60
TS -1 (this is set for me as well, to keep continuity with for testing)
Stealing - 80 (this goes up by the minute for me, I absolutely love the CPU to take advantage of me sleeping on them)
