    MLB.TV question

Can anyone with mlb.tv tell me if you can still use Media Player with their streams, or have they switched completely over to using the Silverlight player (or another)?

I ask because I like to stream the games to my Xbox, but only Media Player allows it.

Actually, they're going to be using a brand new player this year - it's flash based. They're still working the bugs out (using WBC as a sort of beta test), but this new player appears to be LOADS better than the old ones, especially Silvercrap. I'm so glad I had Mosaic last year and didn't have to bother with that POS...

I don't know if they're going to keep the old ones or not - they've still got them up for the Spring Training games.

I've found the MLB support forums and you're right, it looks like they will be using their own player, which is bad news for me as I'm sure I won't be able to take the stream from it and send it to my Xbox. Gonna have to really think about that for this year.

Man, MLB is missing a great opportunity to provide these streams directly to Xbox and PS3 owners. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if they'd make it available through Xbox Live.

      Thanks for the info!
