Well the AL west has good playoff teams but not high quality teams. The AL west teams on average are probably better than most teams but There aren't really any great teams from that division. I would still take the Yankees or Sox over any AL west team right now.

I don't think the NL Central is best as far as overall talent, but it's definitely the best as far as competition within the division.

I was just going to say the exact same thing... you can pretty much figure who the top 2 will be, but they won't be that far ahead of the rest and all the rest can go in any order at allComment

We're not talking about who the best teams are, but which is the best division. I have to go with most other people and say the AL West. No, they don't have the Yankees, but from top to bottom are the best. All the other divisions have weaker links. I think the NL West is very competitive also, but until they start playing outside the division, it's really hard to tell. Going by their records outside the division last year, the AL West and NL West had the upper hand over the other divisions, and I don't see why that would change this year.Comment

NL CENTRAL

i think with the unbalanced schedule the cards, stros, and cubs may have a stronger record from beating up on the bucs, brewers, & reds.
no way is a division w/ 3 bad teams the best in baseball, in fact i think this division is the worst (if kc hangs tough in the alcent)Comment

Re: Best division in baseball?
The only legit bad team I see in the NL Central is the Reds because they have no pitching. Both the Bucs and Brewers are actually playing respectible baseball, and are being hurt more by the past than what they're doing now.
I'm not saying either is going to win the division, but they're both better than most people give them credit for.“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment
