    Some quick WSB 2K3 questions

I was thinking about buying this game. High Heat Baseball was too slow for me.....A lot of these questions are picky, but I need them aswered before I whip out 50 bucks.

    1. Does the camera follow the ball into the stands during a home run so you can see where it lands? I hate blasting a moonshot out of Wrigley and not be able to see it hit Waveland Ave.

    2. How fast are the pitches? How long (in seconds) does the ball reach the catcher's mitt after it's thrown? Can this be controlled by sliders? Does it simulate real baseball when you bat?

    3. Do players have the same batting stance they do in real life? I.E., does Sosa hold the bat out to the side? Does Bonds do his wiggle? Does Tony Batista stand wide-open like he does?

    4. Last question--is this game better than MVP? I'm sorta down on EA Sports at the moment. Do I buy this game without renting it? Is as much fun as The old Gensis World Series?

Thanks, and have a nice day!

Not totally, but better than in years past... it shows the ball leaving, and "right before it lands" it cuts to the cutscene of the dude swinging, but you DO get a jist of if it's deep in the stands or a squeeker.

How fast are the pitches? How long (in seconds) does the ball reach the catcher's mitt after it's thrown? Can this be controlled by sliders? Does it simulate real baseball when you bat?

Also pretty good... I'm using timed hitting and I'm still flip-flopping between fast and very fast pitch settings. Both are good and bad, sometimes they are easy, sometimes impossible.

Do players have the same batting stance they do in real life? I.E., does Sosa hold the bat out to the side? Does Bonds do his wiggle? Does Tony Batista stand wide-open like he does?

I played against a team yesterday that had Jaques Jones, he was basically dancing at the plate. Other than that I really never pay much attention to batting stances unless it's WAY out of the ordnary (Ruben Sierra, Juan Gonzalez, etc.)

Last question--is this game better than MVP? I'm sorta down on EA Sports at the moment. Do I buy this game without renting it? Is as much fun as The old Gensis World Series?

Can't tell you, haven't played it, but it's going to take a helluva effort for them to beat THIS game!

And kissing ain't neccessary bud... LOL j/k
