you know what would have made this game over the top.....If Acclaim had gotten on line play, that would have just sky rocketed this game to the top. Don't get me wrong, it's awesome, I love it, but it would have eliminated some bitching about rosters and stuff had they gotten online play going.Comment

...as far as bitching about rosters goes, I think everyone will be pretty let down by this update.
Acclaim needs (and needed) to make the roster management options outside of franchise more user friendly and flexible.. Player editing is flawed (health and pitch ratings randomly change), create a player is flawed (the pain you have to go through to get a guy the correct age is a joke, why not allow the user to set his age?) and the inability to allow true roster management by putting proper FA's on their teams by having access to the 40 man roster instead of just the 25 would've been nice.. had Acclaim fixed all of these features everyone's patience and disgust with their roster "updates" wouldn't be so bad.
The other baseball titles (and I would actually include this one too) have strong followings where players willingly do their own roster updates and share them with the rest of the "community." You're handcuffed if you attempt it with ASB

Right On, Snake Eyez. I strongly agree. You should be able to edit rosters outside of franchise. I never needed an update before cuz I could just make the changes myself, but in this game you can't. Oh well, it's not like i'm gonna start my franchise over anyways.
