can anyone tell me what the + before certain pitches means? Thanks to anyone that helps.

Word has it the + means that pitch is better than the same pitch without it. I don't think it does anything. You can check by looking at that players ratings. I haven't seen a difference in the player ratings screen between the + and without. Hope that helps.

a + 4-seam fastball usually achieves 95 more often than a regular 4-seam fastball.

Yup, more exaggerated! Say your pitcher has a 95 mph fastball, then the + means it prolly could reach 100! or +Curve, well the "Uncle Charlie" would have a more exaggerated Hook!!!
