WSB probably will be. Probably Triple Play too just because those are the 2 big companies. Hopefully High Heat and ASB will be too.

I don't see how it would be gangsta?!?

I don't know if it would work that well because any lag would kill a game. Baseball is such a game of precision, when a ball is coming at you 95 miles/hour and you have to decide to swing or not in a split second any lag would give the batter a HUGE disadvantage. So maybe if both players were close in proximity and using broadband but 56k would not work.

          woohooo no 56kers !

Playing online w/ broadband, I've seen some gameplay that is as if it weren't online. So I think baseball could be done broadband only.

Anyway, HH for PC is already online, does it lag?

            gangsta? what?

I think online baseball would be great, but I don't know about "gangsta". Why do white kids always insist on talking like they are from "the hood" on internet forums?

Did anyone play WSB 2K2 on Dreamcast? How was it online?

WSB 2k2 was not what the masses were looking for. It had a very incomplete feel to it.

First, there was no ability for communication in-game. That was just absolutely bizarre. The ability to send jokes, trashtalk, etc back and forth was an essential component of the NFL and NBA online experience, but WSB left everybody a mute.

Second, the lag was killer in getting fielders in position to field any batted ball, on the ground or in the air.

And the biggest on-the-field shocker was no control of pitch location. The game forced you to play the role of the catcher calling pitches, then hoping for the best. However, you did have the ability to add around 5 mph to a pitch by holding the button down longer, as is seen in many baseball games.

Personally, though, once the initial distaste of the above weaknesses passed, I thought the game, surprisingly, still captured enough of the battle of wits between pitcher and batter to be enjoyable. If you knew how to keep batters off-balance in real-life, you were able to do the same in the game. (I proudly remember recording 23 Ks as the Dodgers' sidearmer, Dreifort, in a league game. )

There's nowhere to go but up, in terms of online baseball quality, though, and I have no doubt that baseball action in the broadband era should be just as high-quality as has already been seen in football and basketball.

Hmm..seems like baseball should be one of those broadband only games
