WHIP means Walks+Hits per Inning Pitched
I will put my full ratings table on my next worksheet, later today.. ERA and WHIP are not factors in my ratings. I will include an explanation of the ratings with the spreadsheet, they approximate the ASB ratings fairly well.Comment

how do you determine how good a picther is without his era or BB!
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
They give you three pitching categories. Velocity, Control, and Stamina. I rate their velocity based on what a scouting report tells me is their average fastball speed. I rate their control based on BB/IP. I rate their stamina based on IP/G. There isn't really a way to rate their effectiveness in getting hitters out, which is a good thing to a degree. In case you have not noticed, a pitcher can be very effective one season (Rick Reed with the Mets) and then without losing control or velocity, be mediocre or poor the next season (Rick Reed with the Twins the last few years). Unless you have the stuff of Randy, Pedro, Schilling or Maddux, there is very little guarantee that a pitcher can remain consistent at getting batters out. So, ERA, Hits allowed etc. do not enter into my pitch ratings because ASB has no category that they fit into.
