Re: hell yeah! its opening day

That might have been the worst at-bat I've seen in a while by Howard. Two terrible, terrible swings, and he strikes out looking on a pitch right over the heart of the plate.

Great game by the Braves. Well, expect the 9th inning. Derrick Lowe looked dominant, wished he would have got a chance to finish what he started.

Did they actually correct him or just say the correct name. I was watching the game on my DVR and FF at that point because of the intentional walk.

Awesome start, too bad it was ruined and I couldn't come home and watch it on TiVo....certainly a better start than last year's Braves Sunday Night ESPN opener. It's imperative that Frenchy and Schafer get off to hot starts to establish themselves and their confidence, because we're gonna need it. Heard Lowe pitched a typical Lowe game, which is great news.

I could have sworn they were going to turn off the CPU Comeback feature for regular season games, but it almost poked its head out there in the ninth inning. After the Braves didn't score again after having hit three home runs in the first two innings, it was suspect. Then the Braves brought a reliever in and I then knew for sure that they would start tattooing him.

Let's hope they release a patch for this.

Well, we'll see. I hope Lee got all his crap out of his system in spring training...and I hope somehow, someway Arlington doesn't act like a launching pad.

He just had Brett Myers' number, and Myers is prone to the long ball anyways - as evidenced by this start lol.

Lowe was awesome for the Braves. When he has that sinker ball working he's as good as any ace out there. The Phillies just barely squeaked a win against him in his 1st NLCS app - he was pitching lights out until his meltdown.

W/ righty Vazquez starting tomorrow - and no sinker baller - we should see some more offense from our LH'ed lineup.

Please excuse me if this is advertising or anything like that (and if it is, I'll delete this post), but I just wanted everyone to know that DynastyManager.com is having an "Opening Day Extravaganza 2009" celebration today. The users over there (including myself) are playing every game on the slate today (hey, even some that aren't due to weather!) using their MLB video games and then reporting on them as if they were a real game. So if you have any spare time in between watching the real teams play, go ahead and check it out. The guys over there do a great job and are very into this.

Here is the link to the special page made for ODE '09: http://www.dynastymanager.com/ode/ode.php

Thank you and LET'S PLAY BALL!
