Re: Good team to play with???
I'm playing my franchise with the Dodgers and it's great. You get a good 5-man rotation with Kevin Brown, Odalis Perez, Hideo Nomo, Kaz Ishii, and Andy Ashby. You also have Darren Dreifort who can pitch long relief innings or be a spot starter. You have a pretty good bullpen with guys like Mota, Quantrill, and Shuey and you have the best closer in the game with Gagne. The offense is pretty good too. You get an MVP candidate with Shawn Green, a rookie of the year candidate with Joe Thurston, and good bats all around but not too stacked. There's also some good young guys like Chen. -

Re: Good team to play with???
I agree with the previous post. The LA Dodgers are a nice team to start a franchise. I for one suggest the A's. They've got a Great rotation that's young - a decent spot starter in Harang in the minors. A great closer and a decent bullpen.
They also have a young star in Chavez and Tejada. Ellis is solid, Long and Singleton provide speed and Durazo is solid. Dye provides power and Hernandez can throw people out at 2nd.Comment

Re: Good team to play with???
I would have to say the Cubs are not a bad franchise to go with. They have a solid 3 for pitching signed for 3 years plus Sosa and Alou in the middle of the line-up with Choi not being a bad hitter as well. They are also 40 points under the cap giving you room to get some free agents or re-sign some talent to longer contracts.Comment

Cubs are definitely a good choice, IMO. They have solid pitching, but room for improvement. Also, many of their bench players are older, so you need to work on getting new talent to replace them. I have had many moves with them and have a lot of fun using them for franchise.Comment
