LOL.. I am playing a drafted franchise, using the Pirates... well I'm playing against the Pads and David Wells is winning a 1-0 pitching duel going into the 5th inning when there's no one on, 2 out, and Wells is up to the plate.. He bloops a hit right over second base, I figure, no harm, I'll dive forward for it (seeing my RF coming for back-up). Ball bounces right in front of my diving CF and takes a REALLY high bounce over the RF's glove and proceeds to roll to the wall... by the time I catch up to it, Wells is touching 3rd and heading home... !! LOL

I got an inside-the-parker hit off of me by David "Boomer" Wells!!!!

I've had that happen to me a couple of times now. I rarely dive forward for a catch now because of the threat of an inside the park homerun.

I mean, I was evidentally kidding about the "no business" thing, but I mean now if it was Luis Castillo at bat or a slow runner with runners on I wouldn't have dove... but no one on, 2 down, Wells at the plate? I figured "why not?" I HAVE made several EXCELLENT diving catches, so I guess my confidence in doing it was pretty high.

I've been in you shoes quite a few times trying to do some gold glove catching and was off a bit on timing or got a bounce in some cases it lost me the game or opened up the flood gates. But i have made many great leaping catches and dives but i yet to rob a HR clibing the wall but i have come as close as you can get without taking one away. I am either to far to the left or the right or jump to soon or too late. I would love to have a game ending wall climbing HR take away catch to win the game.

I stole two homeruns climbing the wall... I try on every one that's not a "cutscene homer"... and there was this one where the cursor was like 6 feet up the 12' wall in rightfield (in some field, can't remember). So I jumped for it, it smacked off the wall BELOW me, and rolled about 15-20 feet from the fence, but my guy had too much "re-coop time" from the jump to make a play on the deflection to avoid a triple... lol

Hey, have any of you guys gotten a call you KNOW you shouldn't have? I got one the other day, and had one against me a few weeks ago...

One for me: Bases loaded, two down, guy rips it to SS, runners had taken off, SS bobbles it, I throw it to first and the runner had his foot on the bag as my 1B caught it... OUT! I'm like...

Once I got robbed, they throw a high throw to first, 1B catches it in an "Air Jordan" pose while my guy touches first... the 1B's *** is touching my runner and is called out... LOL No tag, just his *** was brushing up against me while he had "possession"...

Yes i had a call like that where the third baseman dove for it and it was a really close play and i was called out and i thought i was safe. So i did the replay slow mo and i was safe it was a off balance throw to 1st so the 1st base man had to come in to make the catch then it was a foot race to 1st and he tried to tag me but in the replay i was safe he never made the tag. I guess close bad calls just happens sometimes even in real baseball. As far as robbing a HR do you press straight up on the analog stick? When i try i think i must press it a little left or right because i seem to just miss them by a hair one way or the other.

Actually what I remember doing was, as I ran after the cursor as I would do for EVERY ball in the OF, as I approach the wall, I hit the R1 button and totally let go of the analog stick... now if you camp at the track and try to jump and catch it as it's going over it's a whole different ballgame, it's more of a "you're in control" thing and it's about timing. I've yet to catch any foul ball in the first row of the stands yet though.
