Yet another brilliant jump out of the gate for an Eric Wedge coached team.

      This guy sucks.

Question - Is it really that Wedge is that bad?

I mean for goodness sakes the Indians have an offense scoring runs, but probably some of the worst pitching in the majors.

Their bullpen sucks, and after Lee you can make a case for every SP sucking donkey balls. Lee completely sucked in his first couple starts too....

I know the manager is the scapegoat, but is it really all of his fault?

Seems like he's still paying for an ALCS loss...

Aaron Laffey, Pavano, Reyes and Lee have all been sharp as of late, as have Sipp, Raffey Left and Wood.

He constantly leaves his pitchers in too long, is not proactive and sits people in the middle of a hot hitting streak.

Alas, it doesn't matter anyway, because Shapiro won't fire him.

Laffey and Lee have been consistent, after Lee struggled to open the season. But Pavano and Reyes have 1 QS in 4 total, and their ERAs and WHIP are atrocious. Same goes for Wood, who has a good K/9 but has allowed 6 ERs in 8.0IPs; not what you want from a closer.

This Sipp guy you speak of only has pitched 3 innings. Betancourt and Perez have a combined 20 IPs and 19 ERs.

I'm sure Wedge has made some managerial mistakes, but from an outsider looking in it looks more like a lack of talent and consistency - which would point to the GM and the players he's brought in.

I remember when Dave Duncan was on everyone's hotlist to be the next great manager...what happened?

I think hurdle or GIrardi! Yanks need to be cruising along by the end of may or he gone! They need to be winning 4 out of 5 on a regular basis! Can't be hovering around 500.

Even if Dusty were to go at the end of the year with the way Tony's Cards are playing now I don't think he's leave St. Louis.

I really doubt that Duncan would leave Tony's side. They have been together since the Tony's days with the White Sox in '83.

Maybe I'm wrong, but from reading of their relationship in "Three Nights in August" I doubt they would "split" unless it was brought upon by retirement.

                      Fire Wedge.

Brings up our top prospects and he sits them.

                      *******.

I'm actually going to defend him in one aspect...it doesn't matter who he is bringing out of the bullpen right now, everyone outside of Sipp and Wood suck.

This is a two part failure by the Indians. Shapiro has failed to give Wedge adequate bullpen depth and Wedge is not getting through to the team anymore, it would seem.
