It's April 19th. A little too early to be jealous.

It really has. The lineup has been mediocre for quite some time until now.

Yep, but history is what it is, history. New time in L.A still wish we had a little deeper bullpen, but guys like Bellesario are going to get better.

Its nice that all 8 spots in the lineup and hit and hit effectively. The kids are growing up and its a beautiful thing to watch.

Again it's April. Before talking about how deep this lineup is, lets play some games.

The Padres look like they can hit as well, and we all know that isn't going to last.

You know, with all this comeback games the Padres have been involved in, I'm surprised no one has complained about it how all of sudden a closer like Brad Lidge gets diced up, or how a bullpen can't hold a lead. I thought MLB fixed it for this season, but I guess not. Hopefully Bud Selig comes out with a patch for this.

We actually seen some of this towards the end of last year. Now we are even better with Hudson. The guys are a year better. I have confidence that this line up wiill be pretty damned good this year. I worry about our starting pitching and bullpen a bit, but as far as the hitting goes. I am sold.

No doubts you are sold as are all of the other Dodger fans. I just tempered it, because it is April, and everyone is beating up the Rockies and Giants and these are the only teams the Dodgers offense has really impressed against.

Well it is the only teams we have played. They were disappointing in the first series against the Padres but still split, and then did better in Arizona. Outscoring both teams 32-23. Now we just went off on SF and Colorado, I know sure its just the Rockies and Giants, but it is still much better than anything Dodger fans saw last year until Manny arrived.

due to the Padres business dealings, they and I have had a falling out.

I can't blame you for that, but they are playing surprisingly well. And I strongly dislike that pesky Eckstein, he is so annoying but an excellent baseball player.

I wouldn't know. The Padres signed an exclusive deal with the local cable provider, so even though I live in San Diego county as a DirecTV subscriber I can't see any of their games.

It's much like growing up here, when we could watch all the Angel and Dodger games we could stand here, but the Padres weren't televised locally.

So I just follow the Angels now. That and I am more a fan of baseball than anything else, so I just watch a lot of MLB Network and whatever games look good (I have Extra Innings Package).

i live in northern cali, well central, but Giants have a contract similar, but they split it with comcast sports channel, and another local channel. WHen they play the dodgers i dont get to see all them games. I would love extra innings, but with me having the NFL package. over 200 bucks a month for tv is just a bit much. lol

Maybe when i hit the lottery. lol
