    Classic Hitting Question

Is there an option to take a power swing when you use classic hitting?

I try to toggle a power swing (as I would in normal hitting) but the cursor doesn't change at all (i.e. I could never tell I am in power mode or not).

    Thanks for your help.

No there isn't. That is the cursor I use, I get plenty of HR's too.

I don't find homeruns to be an issue with the classic cursor, if you're guy has power, and you hit right on the money, there's a good chance it's going to be a homer.

I don't have a problem hitting them in classic mode either. The first 2 months of the season, Jim Thome lead the league with 22 HR or so. I was right behind him with Andruw Jones hitting about 18. In the month of June and July (till the All Star break) I went on a power surge with Chipper Jones and Gary Sheffield. Both passed Thome in HR and each ended up with 30 HR at the break. Consequently, I went a on an ice cold streak with Andruw Jones and am still stuck at 20 HR with him.

Im hitting some HR, but not at a ridiculous rate like last year's version. I've also gotten a lot of "red star" homeruns lately.

Those are cool. They're a great change of pace from the obvious blasts that you know are gone right off the bat.
I also love the fake-out" HRs that bend foul. What a great improvement.
