I apologize if I posted this question in the wrong place. I have a question on how to overide the CPU in comtrollimg your rosters on non-franchise seasons. I am using the Reds, Orioles, and Indians in a 40-game season. However I have to fight the CPU in mainaining my rosters. I though that I had set all of the flags to prevent this from happening, but I have started to play season games and see a few players out of position. I may have an outfielder at catcher or at another infield position depsite having no experience at that position. Please advise as to what I can do to correct this problem. Hopefully I can do this without having to start my season over again. This is my only complaint about this game. I have not had this much fun playing a video baseball game since I played WSB on the Sega Gensesis.

I think what you need to do is edit the depth charts. They might be set so people play for the others a certain percent of the time so the players dont tire as much. To change the depth charts go to edit line ups and hit r2 until it comes up

WSB 2K3 Difficulty

Is it just me or is it that the computer can't hit? I like everything about the game except for the fact that I shut down the computer (pitching wise) everytime. All they do is hit weak bloopers that don't even make it to the outfield. My pitchers throw complete game shutouts where the computer only mustards out a few hits. I have the cpu batting average at 100 also. Last year's game the computer couldn't hit and I figured they would make it harder this year, guess they didn't.

Because custom sliders suck. Either have AI Sliders on Pro or All Star. Trust me... it works.

Muffin - I have to use custom sliders. Pro was WAY too easy so I moved to All-Star. Still WAY too easy.

Obviously the CPU couldn't hit me on either level which made this game unplayable. I did try Legend, but got smoked. So I guess I need something in between All-Star and Legend. Custom sliders seem to be the only way to go (at least for me because the default levels are too easy and I'm not ready for Legend yet).

Might wonna get some custom sliders or put it on an harder level. The CPU crushes me on legend. That is what is so great about WSB is you can customize the game as much you want. Make it as hard as you want or as easy.

Maybe you don't have your other settigns right... what's your batting cursor size? Pitch speed (for BOTH teams... CPU tends to hit slower pitches better, try that). How about those three things that we call the pitching cursor, the strike zone, and the variable pitching... let me know.
