        Those mid 80's ChiSox unis seem pretty cool now, especially the numbers on the pant leg, but they were an abomination then. They looked ridiculous.

        The ones they had in the mid to late 70's were even worse. The jerseys had friggin collars on them, for god's sake. They looked like andy warhol's twisted version of a softball team.

        However, everything retro is "cool" nowadays. I remember how fired up I was when I saw that ASB 2002 was gonna have the Astros rainbow unis and the Pirates' old yellow ones with the big layer cake looking hats. That was pretty cool, but for me, the novelty is already starting to wear off a tad. Its already being run somewhat into the ground.

        I do like how MLB seems to be letting teams wear the throwbacks from the 70's/80's for a week or so the past few seasons. The Phils already wore their 80's home unis once this year, and it was sweet to see them.
