Well, I didn't come across nor did I find this particular thread so I'll start one up. I always enjoy reading up on baseball history, so without further ado here is "Today in Baseball" for April 29th.

Re: This Day in Baseball History
Michael Orschlin becomes the third fan this season to jump onto field at Kauffman Stadium during the ninth inning of a Royals' loss. Orschlin, who jumped to win a $400 bet from a friend, delays the game for 15 minutes as he taken away on a stretcher as a result of broken foot, and the 22-year old will face a fine of $1,000 for trespassing.Comment

Re: This Day in Baseball History
The second inning Chase Field match up of Julio Franco hitting against Randy Johnson marks the oldest hitter-pitcher confrontation in big league history. With a mere 92+ years of age between the two of them, the nearly 49-year old Mets first baseman takes the Diamondback southpaw, four months shy of 44, deep to extend his own record as the oldest player to homer, and with his ninth inning swipe of second he continues to be the oldest to steal a base .Comment

Re: This Day in Baseball History
2008 At Coors field, Derek Lowe throws 43 pitches before he retires the first Rockies batter of the game. The Dodgers starting pitcher never recovers from the 50-pitch, three-run inning first inning leaving after the fifth of an 7-2 eventual loss to Colorado.
Here's the box from Baseball-Reference.com

The pitch counts don't add up either. They say he had a 50 pitch bottom of the first, the box score says 55.
I don't know where they got it wrong, but still 55 pitches in a single inning is a lot of pitches.Comment
