Looking great today. Grand Slam, a couple of good defensive plays. Starting to look like he is getting his groove back the last 2 or 3 games.

I was a huge Mets supporter when they were dueling vs. the Braves but i envy you for actually suporting such an overachieving team...that has lost of talent but can't win ball games...

The Mets didn't make a ton of bonehead mistakes. Signing Alomar for his gold glove defense and his great bat was a good move. Who knew he was going to flop once he reached the NL? Getting Cedeno also made a bit of sense because they didn't have anybody ( other than Timo ) that could lead off. Cedeno was a canidate for 60 SB when he reached the Mets. Who would know he would absolutely fail with them? Pedro Astacio had the makings of the new ace for the Mets but has had a few injuries since coming to them..not really a bad move. Getting Mo Vaughn was a good move at the time. He was an MVP type of guy in the AL coming off a 30 HR season ( before his injury ) with the Angels. Cliff Floyd has a bat but can't stay healthy. Another decent move to add pop in the lineup. Trachsel has been a guy that can eat up about six or seven innings and give them a chance to win every time out. Getting Scott Strickland and David Weathers really helped their bullpen. Rey Sanchez was just a replacement until the 'Savior' , Jose Reyes , has a chance to get to the majors. Sanchez , by no means has done awful. They did overpay for D'Amico last season after he had one good year with the Brewers. He has made some bad deals ( i.e. trading Izzy ) , but don't hate on the guy too much.Comment
