    Carlos Silva retirement watch...etc

    6 GAMES: 1-3 8.48 ERA, 28 2/3 IP

Remove his line from April 14 ( 7IP 2ER, and his only win) and that would be worse

    ...Thank you Bill Bavasi!

So who else is a total bust this year for your team and should hang it up...?

Brett Gardner aka Jason Tyner v.2

Gardner shouldn't retire, but he's not a major league hitter.

Not gonna happen. Silva can buy a lot of Mondo burritos with the millions that the M's are squandering on him and he won't waddle away from that much cash.

Silva is under contract for 2 more years beyond this season for a boat load of money. He is not retiring anytime soon.

Carlos Silva pitched a gem today...make that two gems on the season...Given it's the Astros and Reds, but still....

I'd put him in 2nd place right now in between the other two pitching Carlos's on this team.

I wonder if Twins management laughed in his agent's face when he came with those salary demands the offseason he left.

I agree and looked for a copy that didn't do it in slow motion...

However, I feel it adequately expresses my opinion that Carlos Silva has been great for the Cubs so far.

He's 7-0, looking to be 8-0 by the end of the day, has a sub-3 ERA and is coming off a last start where he 2 hit the Cards over 7 innings, striking out 11. A Silva retirement watch thread, when he may be the lone All-Star from the Cubs in 2010.

On a side-note: Silva is the pitching version of Kung Fu Panda

Lol, now I know how politicians feel, when their old quotes show up...

And JBH the fact that he is the only Cubs all star is why he'll retire...whoever heard of the Cubs keeping a good thing going?
