    Re: Giles

It sounded today like they're going to activate Giles tomorrow. Having him in the lineup will certainly help, because I think it'll get Ramirez to stop pressing. The only downside I see is that the idiot McClendon will probably put Jack Wilson back at 8th, even though he's raised his average about 100 points since being put into the 2 spot.

Of course, I don't know who else would go there...

I think Giles is one of the top 10 players in baseball. If he played in a bigger market or had someone to hit behind and someone to get on base in front of him he would be voted to the starting all star team every year. As it is, only real baseball fans and a few people in Pittsburgh know who he is, it's a damn shame.

It sucked... I went and bought a Giles sleeveless white jersey with the Pirates t-shirt to go underneath and had traded Gary Sheffield straight-up for giles in fantasy and what happens? Giles goes on DL... lol

I would put Giles ahead of Sweeney 'cuz of his speed and defense. I like Sweeney alot too though, and yes, he is also under-rated.
