Nah, Dalton Varshos fall down, near behind the back from one knee is the catch of year. I would love to see someone else do that.

Best recovery, maybe. That's what he gets for turning his body and not his head, unlike the Harris play!

Both of them got turned around, though. Not like they made bad reads, it's just the slice of the hit off the bat.

The Jays on May 25th just lost 13-0 to the Rays and were 12th in the AL, on Athletics territory level of bad.

Since then they've gone 12-3 and are 3rd in the entire AL!

And that's despite Santander not playing since May 29th, and was looking like Chris Davis 2.0. Even Vladdy and Bo haven't been great either and they have no starting pitcher outside of their top 3 guys and barely have a closer.

Cardinals pitching staff is letting them down, which was the biggest concern coming into the season. Hopefully the front office realizes that this team has a chance to maintain a contender providing the pitching can hold up its end of the bargain.

            Random crazy stat I saw.

Barry Bonds in his 22 year career had 688 intentional walks.

The Tampa Bay Rays as of this week in their 28th major league season now have 688 intentonal walks.

It also took the Rays and DBacks until this season to have been in the MLB for more seasons than Nolan Ryan.

Somebody brought up an interesting point on TwitX with Clarke's catch last night. Is that technically a HR? Absolutely amazing feat, but the ball technically DID cross over the wall. Before you scoff, consider the absurd. If he would have gone completely over the wall and hung on, is it still an out? Is it the same as a foul ball whereby if your momentum takes you into the stands, it's still an out? I'm seriously asking the rule here.

If he would've caught the ball, fallen over the wall and hung on, it would still be considered an out. Like a foul ball, the ball is not considered a homerun until it hits something (ground, wall, seat, etc..) beyond the field of play.

Hoping the Mariners have finally hit the bottom. They've now lost 8 of their last 9.

To have wasted those starters the last few years... now to waste Cals amazing season...

... and yet, why am I surprised.?! Its the Mariners

Back to back HRs to walk it off!

Jays also use 4 different players at CF.

After hours and hours of deep analysis, I think the Cubs may have won the Pete Crow-Armstrong for Javy Baez trade

Cardinals get right against the White Sox.

I didn't expect this team to be relevant this far into the season, but I'm now letting myself speculate what moves they could make at the deadline as buyers.

Mets break their seven game skid in an odd way by hitting seven solo HRs

Are there any alternate stadium plans if Tampa should make a deep playoff run? I can't imagine MLB wanting LCS or World Series games in a minor league stadium if they should make it that far
