If Richard Hidalgo can continue to be consistent and return to his 2000 form then he could be considered especially since he was shot in the arm in Venezuela during the offseason.

Re: Comeback Player of the Year?
Has to be Everett. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't this guy signed to a minor league deal in Febuary a few weeks before camp started?Comment

Re: Comeback Player of the Year?
Doesn't the comeback player of the year require having significant time at the major league level?
Yes Gil Meche hasn't pitched for a long time, but 15 starts and 85 innings in 2000 probably doesn't qualify him as a major comeback.
Just curious...Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Yes, I think that comes into consideration. I also think the player has to have missed most of the previous year on the DL, not just come back from an off year.Comment

Re: Comeback Player of the Year?
For me I'd go with Esteban Loaiza of the White Soxs.
6-1 2.36 ERAI have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

He's doing well, but he started off similarly for Toronto like two years ago.Comment
