CPU Pitch Ability- 100
CPU: MVP
User: HVP
I have this at 100 for a few different reasons. I find that this is how much percent the pitcher will give of his potential. I have it at MVP becuz I found that with HVP, the CPU would groove way too many pitches leading to many homers and too many hits.
CPU Batting Average: 30
I did have this at 37 but found that the CPU would get 8-10 hits on my 90+ rated pitchers and 14-18 hits on my -70 rated pitchers. I find this to be too much so I lowered it, and played a few games with this setting and it felt just right. They were getting 3-8 hits on my 90+rated pitchers and 8-12 hits on my 70 and below rated pitchers. Of course there are some games where there are MANY hits and some where there are barely any, but isn't it like that in the MLB too?
CPU Batting Eye (Strikes): 80
Even the majors look at called strikes.
CPU Batting Eye (Balls): 77
I feel with this at 77, the CPU takes most 1st pitches, and often swings when they are down 0-2 if u throw a bit outside. Seems just like real life!
CPU Throw Strikes: 3
Seems like this, at least for me, has generated the most realistic walk totals. When pitchers get tired around the 8th, it shows.
CPU Stealing %: 80
Is it me, or does the CPU not seem to go for too many steals. This also increases the CPU's aggressiveness running the bases. Maybe more than 10 outfield assists for a 162 game season.
Settings
Difficulty: All- Star ( yes this does make a difference)
Sliders: Custom
Pitch Speed: Fast
With Very Fast, you just have to move the cursor and swing, but with this, you can move it too far and miss, especially on a nasty Pedro changeup.
Cursor: Very Small
Don't want too many hits. You can raise or lower this if you aren't as skilled.
Pitch Cursor: Off (more walks)
Strike Zone: Off (more walks)
Active Bullpen: On
Variable Pitching: CPU: Medium
User: High
Pitch Preview: Off
Vibration: Off (more walks)
