In my franchise, that guy is Danny Bautista. I've tried everything! Everytime I play the D-Backs he ends up w/ 4 hits. They had him batting 8th, so I tried to pitch around him. then I got 2 strikes on generous calls so I figured I'd go in for the K, nope, Double! That guy is Stan the Man against me.

ASB, that one guy you just can't get out
In real baseball, there's always that one guy, the relatively average player who is a non-all-star and nothing out of the ordinary, except against your favorite team he get's a hit seemingly every time.

Re: ASB, that one guy you just can\'t get out
Lately, it's been Brad Ausmus of all people. He single-handedly cost me two of four, and made one of the other games very interesting. It sucks when you get yourself in a jam, get Kent and Berkman out, and then have Brad Ausmus hit a bomb.
Stan the Man...he might have been my grandfather if my grandmother wasn't so picky (and I'm serious about this)“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis Black -

Good question...probably would be a better hitter on my softball team though.“In my lifetime, we've gone from Eisenhower to George W. Bush. We've gone from John F. Kennedy to Al Gore. If this is evolution, I believe that in twelve years, we'll be voting for plants.” - Lewis BlackComment

Re: ASB, that one guy you just can\'t get out
Mark Bellhorn went 6 for 6 against me in an extra inning game. The Cubs had 10 hits in that game. Luckily he was the only one hitting and I won 2-1.
Also, simulating my expansion team through the playoffs, Benitez gave up 3 GW HR's to Julio Lugo, yeah, THAT Julio Lugo. In real life Burrell hits Benitez like that, but Lugo, that was just wrong. (I have left out the obvious domestic assault jokes in light of Boston Globe Bob Ryan's recent stupid comments)Comment
