I just rented ASB 2004..

I just rented it and in my first couple of games in veteran mode im getting killed. Since it did not come with the manual, i dont know some of the basic controls like what do u use to dive with a fielder, or jump, how do u run with speed burst (or is there a speed burst), baserunning controls ....basic stuff....i was wondering, where do u see the pitch count for ur pitchers and where do u see how fatigued they are....do u any of u guys know of a site that has like a manual for this game, and also, with the pitching cursor its virtually possible to throw a strike every time, are any of u guys bugged by that, or by the end of the game the ball starts to move more on the pitcher? also, i just downloaded the latest rosters supposedly of the game, are they very accurate? do they have matsui and contreras?

1. press pause when you start the game and turn off strike zone and pitching cursor. Makes for more realistic pitching and you can throw some balls.

2. I think the only way to see the pitch count is when you do a mound visit

3. Pitcher Fatigue is the colored bar below where it lists their pitches, it lowers as the game goes on.

4. No speed bursts, dive and jump is the right trigger (xbox) or one of the right shoulder buttons (ps2).

is this ps2 or xbox??

To change players it is one of the left shoulder buttons.

"O" is bunt

To advance runner, press "O" and the base the guy is currently on. To retreat runner press "triangle" and the base you want the guy to go back to. R2 is advance all runners and L2 is retreat all runners.

thanks man, and also how do u steal, and i saw all the updated rosters pfunk has, u need a sharkport for them right? are the updated rosters through the game really off? because i want to start my franchise with the braves and the roster is accurate besides shane reynolds and joe dawley, what about other teams?

yes, you need a sharkport. not sure how accurate the rosters are. I started a franchise with the Braves with the regular rosters.

I was wrong earlier on what I told you: "Triangle" and press d pad towards the base the guy is on advances the runner, not "O". "O" is retreat.

To steal: on Veteran level all you have to do is press towards the base the guy is on and hit the "O" button, you do this once the pitcher is set and your guy will run automatically when the pitcher throws.

To steal on All Star Level: you have to make the guy take off on your own by pressing "triangle" and the base the guy is on. L2 increases runners lead.

I have the xbox version so that is why I messed up earlier on the controls.

what do u mean pressing the base the runner is on? like using the directional buttons? o and also, i found where is horacio ramirez lefty for braves? good prospect, not in the roster or minor leagues, sux, thanks for helpin me out man
