minor leagues in asb
I tried to move pitcher jason marquis to my minor leagues but it said that he was out of options and must clear waivers before being demoted, i tried and he was claimed by cards, why did this out of option thing happen? anybody knows what it means?

just like the pro's , players have a certain amount of "options". If a player has zero options you can't move them to the minors automatically (like in your case). If a player has 1 option, they can be sent down and called back up 1 time without being picked up by another team.
One way to fix this is to go to the GM section and edit his ratings to D+ on everything and then send him down to AAA. NO one will pick him up because of the bad ratings. 1 option doesn't mean 1 time. it means 1 year....at least in asb. i've sent players with 1 option lots of times. i don't know if it means 1 year in real life though.
BTW, you could've found this out in the asb rulebook in the gameComment
