    My take on zone hitting is that since you're really just guessing the area of the plate to swing at, it adds a lot more of the player's stats and some "randomness" to it. If you guess right, you'll likely make contact, but what kind of contact depends on the pitch, the batter, and some luck.

    The major downside is that it seems to introduce some of FatPitcher's famous "die rolls" that he rags on HH about. Plus there seemed to be a LOT of shots up the middle when I was using it.
