Got home and loaded it up, and I'm more than a little delighted. Great presentation, a much better batter/pitcher matchup, and some wonderful commentary (IMHO). I lost AL All-Stars against NL All-Stars 3-4 in my first (and so far only) game, but had an absolute blast. Time to start assembling my created players, methinks.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Acclaim for releasing ASB 2004 in Europe. Occasionally we poor Europeans get a baseball game released (High Heat used to be ported over; Triple Play 2000 still haunts bargain bins across the nation), but this year Acclaim appears to be our only hope, and I think they'd come through very, very well. They've released their last three ASB games in Europe, and show no signs of slowing down (a staff member informed me that ASB2004 was selling "very, very well" - staggering, considering our national obsession with foorball). And this one appears to beat the others into the proverbial cocked hat.
Europeans, get to your local software dealers. Even if you're not an ASB fan, give it a try and see what you think. Whatever you think of Acclaim, kudos to them for paying some attention to the rest of the world.
Be seeing you,
Saxman
