    Re: Changes to the game

Those are some pretty big changes. I don't like the one about the All-Star game's format or shortening the season. I also don't like the one about the wild card being a single game. Adding another wild card to each league wouldn't be a bad idea though. I still haven't decided on the one about homefield advantage.

i like the home-field advantage idea, but none of the rest, don't lengthen the playoffs, and shorten the season, they're fine the way they are now, along with the All-Star Game

Lengthening the playoffs will make the season seem so meaningless. I do like the idea of SHORTENING the season. Go back to the 154 game schedule or just a 142 game schedule.

The all star game determining home field for the WS is the best idea i've heard recently as it would make the ASG mean a lot more and quite possibly bring back the competition that was there that hasn't been seen since the mid--70s.

Leave the game the way it is and should be. I'm not liking this All-Star changes but agree something must be done to attract more attention and viewers, but home field advantage in the WS isn't the answer. You'll see managers now using their players conservately to gain that opportunity, but again history shows that they don't make much difference in deciding the winners.
One thing is for certain is that I don't want less of baseball during my summer. I rather want more of it! I love it!

                - Lavar Arrington on his new Redskins teammate Sean Taylor.

Adding another wild card? Ugh, it's bad enough there is a wild card already. Get rid of the unbalanced schedule, best record in each league gets a bye, other two play to be in the lcs. Please MLB, don't make the regular season as insignificant as it is in the NBA and NHL.

If they want to "fix" baseball, they should concentrate on the team salary disparagy first.
