Re: If you were to make a baseball game for the PC what features would it have?
I'd have all of the unique features of every baseball game combining MVP's pitching and hitting, High Heat's gameplay, part MVP part WSB part ASB graphics, MLB's spring training deal, Inside Pitch's online mode, Inside Pitch's create a player, ASB's features, and High Heat's customizablility. Oh and I'm not really sure about sound, but if I were to pick I'd choose MVP's audio. -

Well, I guess that just about covers it...
Full minor league system. AAA all the way down to rookie ball (or just A ball). An extensive draft (more than a handful of rounds anyway). Intelligent AI for franchise management. Ability to easily export statistics for stat junkies like myself and for online leagues.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

The features I would add would be just making it as realistically as possible.Comment

And being able to use the mouse in the menus is a requirement, unlike that horrible piece of crap they released this year...

Re: If you were to make a baseball game for the PC what features would it have?
Minor league system is a must...
Spring Training
Batting practice game mode, so i don't have to jump to all-star in my franchize without be able to see a few pitches first
I would break all player ratings into two categories(I would do this in all sports games)
Natrual talents.
A. Bat speed
B. Raw foot Speed
C. Raw arm power
D. Raw Bat Power
E. Footwork (whether a player throws off the right foot, leads with the correct foot while stealing, etc...)
F. Clutch Ablitiy
G. Mental awareness
F. Mental Stablity/toughness
G. Agressiveness
H. Learning curve(Low score = take 3 seasons to learn, high score = learns within a season)
I. Injury Possiblity(or could be a players eating habits and workout ethic, whether he juices or not, on or off effedra, etc.)
J. Vision(Catcher needs high vision, while a third basemen only NEEDS a middle score...)
K. Star power
Fundamental skills(LEarning curve effects these)
A. Swing(Low score = player has no balence, timing, power, Can't hit lefties, etc, High score = Bonds)
B. Baserunning
C. Fielding
D. Wind-up Mechanics
E. Stituation Awarness(low score = during simed games player will throw to first when he should have thrown to second for the double play, high score = Barry Bonds hitting every strike to Hawaii)
F. Batting Eye
Now all the natural ablitys will improve with play time, and in spring training instrution, but the natural talents will only decline with age, injury, etc.
Body armor like Bonds elbow gaurd reduces your bat speed, shin guards lessen your runing speed after the hit.
there are more details but you get the point...Comment
