Nick Johnson? Well at least he's no Matt Holliday.

I doubt the Sox would give up on Penny like that but from what i've seen he's probably more suited to the NL where it seems the fastball heavy pitchers have more success.

Penny's gone once Smoltz is ready to go. There's no way Penny would accept a move to the bullpen and I'm not sure the Sox would be interested anyway. The Braves have a crowded rotation right now so unless Hanson bombs I don't see them having much interest in Penny. The Phillies makes more sense, or perhaps Milwaukee.

Yea disappointing loss, but hey...we're looking good though. Mets are really suffering through some injuries w/ Putz being out 10-12, Reyes still out.

As long as Philly can take the series I'm happy.

Thanks for the inside scoop. I'll just miss seeing Penny rubbing up his head and generally looking ill tempered before every pitch!

What a disappointing afternoon in more ways then one. The Jays' bats go silent and it's pretty damn disheartening to see only 16k+ at the Rogers Centre. Today was the first really great day of the year though so I will cut some slack there but sheesh....The attendance is really poor.

Wow Lidge blew another game. Damn if Castro wouldn't have been so stupid on the basepath, this would be another Dodger victory.

It looks like it all worked out for the Dodgers in the end, though.

Michael Young breaks up Lester's attempt at perfection with one out in 7th with a gap shot to left. Lester has been incredible tonight, hitting all of his spots and reaching as high as 97 mph with the fastball. He had 10 strikeouts on just 61 pitches at one point.

This just in, Arizona D-Backs are a very bad team. They had a 2-1 leads now its 6-2 Padres.

It'd be nice if the Braves backed up their moves to win now by you know, actually WINNING.

Yankees steal one from the Rays. Down 2 in the 8th with one out they load the bases. Cano walks to make it 3-2. Then Posada hits a double play ball that Aybar bobbles and everyone is safe. Then Matsui hits a little chopper to 2nd and he beats out the double play, bailing out Posada who ran right into the tag.

The Rangers took another one over the Bo-Sox, 6-3.

Cruz needed a single to hit for the cycle, and Kinsler's average dropped to .274 after a 1/5 performance.

                              C'mon, Kinsler.

Any Rangers batter not named Nelson Cruz hasn't been doing too well lately.
