It is how warm they are. Check the FAT or fatigue rating on the pitcher. A or B usually warms up to green, but C or D will only warm to yellow (at least in my experience).Comment

yes it does take them longer to get warmed up if they don't get work. I've been expirementing with warming guys up even when I don't plan on using them, to simulate throwing on the side. It seems to help, particularly if you have an SP in the bullpen.Comment

What really sucks is my starting rotation in my fantasy draft franchise averages 8 innings per game, so my bullpen is totally underworked. I guess I really shouldn't be complaining though.Comment
