I really hope the Nationals send Strasburg to the minors for a few game, I would really love to see him play in Syracuse(The nationals AAA team is the Syracuse Chiefs).

That's setting the bar pretty low for a first round pick.

Boston takes a light-hitting outfielder. Their organization lacks power, I would have preferred someone with a better projection to hit for pop but in reality I don't know much about the talent available so I'm forced to defer here.

At this point, I'll just take a successful first round pick...haven't seen one of those in a while.

First round is complete. I won't post the compensation round on the main page.

UNC had 2 players selected, plus 2 HS commits, all in the 1st 15 selections.

I'm fairly certain he'll spend some time in the minors, though if skips any leagues it would probably be Triple A as I could see him going straight from Double A to the big leagues (provided he's as dominant as advertised). Speculation is moot at this point though, as the Nationals have to actually sign him first which is easier said than done.

Tell that to Bill Bavasi. 3 relievers in 5 years with 1st round picks. Explains a lot doesn't it?

Well nevermind. Just read Morrow is tired of relieving and is headed to Tacoma to become a starter, again. That guy switches sides more than Anne Heche.

Exactly, when your 1st rounders are becoming relievers (or worse, relievers right from day 1) you're going to be in a world of hurt.

That guy just needs to pull a Greinke, disappear for a while, then come back with his head straight.
