    ASB: free agents

    Has anyone seen a cpu ran team pick up a player off the free agent pool.

      I think its may third and no one has picked up a free agent. There has only been a couple of lon term contracts signed and a trade between the white sox and and the braves.

              I will have to double check. I don't remember this happening. I have seen them claim a guy off waivers.

                      I have. It happened just last night. Was finishing up a game on August 1st and was checking the transaction wire to see if any big trades went thru (only 1 and it wasn't huge) and noticed that the Red Sox placed Manny Ramirez on the 60 day DL and picked up Rickey Henderson off the FA list.

                                      Maybe the cpu waits 'till after the trade deadline, but before the sept 1 post season cutoff. (except the Angels, they ignore that rule)
                                      Just kiddin' we don't need to start back up on that.
