Question about pitches in ASB 2004

When you create a player, there is a list of pitches you can select. What are the pitches that have a + next to them? I go through the list and I see +slider, +4 seam fastball.. what are these?

it means they throw those pitches well. after you create a player they get a letter rank assigned to each pitch. the ones with a + will automatically have a higher rank.

Ok, I wasn't sure because only a select few from the list have +'s. I don't think the knuckleball, palmball, or hard curveball have a + partner.

True, but most of the ones without a + are junk pitches. The knuckleball is hard to throw anyway, so that's probably why it doesn't have a +.
