ASB- How do u pick a guy off?

I am just about ready to give up o picking a guy off. its impossible. How do u do it?

on th e x-box version after u pick your pitch i believe there is a choice....depends on how many guys are on for example if only one guy on first it will say button "B" if on second and first there will be 2-3 diff buttons to push corresponding with that particular base....

I don't....

Though it does tend to shorten a runner's lead after you do it.

i don't throw over very often, but I have picked one guy off this year. I only do it whith a speed guy on first, just to shorten the lead. I think it's just something they didn't want us to be able to master, and thankfully so.

On this same topic, how do you make a snap throw from the catcher to first after a pitch? This is on the Xbox version. Thanks in advance

on asb for ps2 there are two ways to pick a guy off. With a righty you just hit circle after you choose your pitch. (assuming a pickoff at first) If you have a lefty you can do that or, after you hit x to throw the ball you can than hit circle to throw over. I have 2 or 3 pickoffs in 60 games, but i have also thrown it away twice. I think the pickoff is very realistic in this game. And like a previous poster stated, it does make the runner shorten up his lead.

on asb for ps2 there are two ways to pick a guy off. With a righty you just hit circle after you choose your pitch. (assuming a pickoff at first) If you have a lefty you can do that or, after you hit x to throw the ball you can than hit circle to throw over. I have 2 or 3 pickoffs in 60 games, but i have also thrown it away twice. I think the pickoff is very realistic in this game. I've never picked a guy off, but one time the bases were loaded with 2 outs and a 3-2 count. I had a lefty pitching and I did the move where you press o in the middle of the windup. The guys at 2nd and 3rd took off, but they were both safe. Maybe the only way to get a pick off is when they are going to be running and you do that move.
