ASB Help: unable to continue with my current franchise....

well, i had just completed a game with my Giants franchise i guess on june14th, against the royals. i was getting ready to start the sunday game, but for some reason, i cant select 'play next game'. i can highlight it, but wont do anything when i try to select it.
if i select 'calendar' it takes me to the calendar but then bounces back to the previous menu.
but if i try again, it lets me acces the calendar.
once im at the calender screen and i try to simulate the game, it will say its simulating, but basically freezes. ive left it alone at that screen for about a minute or so, and nothing happens. and since my game is next on the official schedule, the simming shouldnt take that long.
anyone have this problem before? no big deal about me starting over, but im just wondering if just one of those fluke bugs that happens.
i have no problems starting other franchises, doing the other types of games...so its all good. but it just bugged me that this happened.

If it's around June15, you might have to work around the amateur draft. Chances are, you have too many players on your roster. Check that out before starting over.

yeah it happened to me, check your schedule, there may be some games simulated out of order (Jun 16th simmed before Jun 15) that is the glitch. there s nothing you can do about it except start over or sim to the end of the season. I had to start over and what I did next time was sim the game b4 and after the draft and it was ok. This is ASB of course.

Something like this happened to me last night after completeing the draft. It did however let me play the next game. The only problem was it simulated the game after that, which was a LOSS. The messed up part was that the simulated game did not show up as being played in the standings. I ended up just turning the damn thing off without saving. So,if I sim the game before the draft I will be ok?

Same thing happend to me, it was right after me and my buddy drafted. We tried to play the next game and couldn't select it, I tried dropping people from my minor leagues and it didn't help. Unfortunately he saved it before restarting it, so when we reloaded it, the same thing happend, I think if we had just reset it and done the draft again we would have been ok. Its wierd because thats the only time that has happend. I have the GC version and we started an expansion franchise that froze after year 2, when we went to the 3rd year it froze when we tried to sim or play. So we started a new franchise and hit the problem you mentioned. Hopefully it wont happen again (knock on wood)

I simply simmed the game after the draft and everything is working fine now. When you save is when you get screwed. So I would suggest to anyone approaching the july 15 draft to sim the game immediatly following, and then save.
